Restorative yoga is a practice of resting intentionally, relaxing completely, and simply being. This practice can help regulate the nervous system, improve sleep and digestion, release muscle tension, reduce stress and blood pressure, and allow for deep relaxation of the mind and body. With guided instruction, the use of supportive props in reclined positions held for 5-15min each, breath-work, and meditation, this private session takes you on a journey into your parasympathetic nervous system (the rest and digest response) and restores balance to your sympathetic nervous system (the flight, fight, or freeze response). We’ll create an atmosphere of safety, receptivity, and support that allows for an experience of healing rest, renewal, deeper awareness, and a return to equilibrium.
